Mumbai will host the Irani Cup fixture for the 2024-25 season which will feature Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai versus the Rest of India. The annual fixture will be held from October 1 to 5, according to a BCCI press release issued on Thursday night.

Ajinkya Rahane’s Mumbai team won the national championship last season by beating a spirited Vidarbha outfit at the Wankhede Stadium. Meanwhile, the Ranji Trophy Elite league games will be conducted from October 11 to February 2. The knockout rounds will kick off on February 8 and the tournament will end in March 2025.
