Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir spewes venom against India again

Sharpening his diatribe, Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir spewed venom against India again. This time, he was addressing the passing out parade at the Pakistan Air Force Academy in Risalpur. While addressing the passing out cadets, General Asim Munir once again raked up Kashmir conflict. Gen Munir also talked about aerial engagements between Indian and Pakistani air forces in 2019 post Pulwama attack. He said, “The professionalism in brilliance of Pakistan Air Force is being displayed in war against our arch-rivals and profoundly in Feb 2019 in short but several engagements against the misplaced calculus of our rival who mistook our initial restraint as weakness. We shall never allow anyone to challenge our territorial integrity, sovereignty and security of our beloved homeland. Regardless of what are adversaries say, another region where forces violently trampling over Human Rights and muzzling voices to self-determination is Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The silence of the world over Kashmir is deafening. But, we will continue to extend moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir till the day they are empowered to exercise their rights of self-determination.” Ever since 1947, relations between India and Pakistan have been tense and Kashmir has been major of conflict. The countries have fought several wars and in 2019, the relations nosedived when the Article 370 was abrogated. India has reiterated its stance on numerous occasions that entire Jammu and Kashmir is integral part of the country.

Pakistan remarks on “Hindutva fascism” at UNGA, India’s Ambassador responds

India’s Ambassador to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj gave a befitting reply to her Pakistani counterpart in UNGA, without taking the country’s name. During a discussion, while delivering his speech, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Munir Akram said, “Unless Hindutva fascism is opposed, unless the sense of impunity of the BJP, RSS is ended, unless the Indian Muslims are protected against genocide, and unless the Kashmir dispute is peacefully solved, wider violence and conflict in South Asia is a real and present danger.” Without taking country’s name, Ruchira said, “In this assembly, as we endeavour to cultivate the culture of peace amid these challenging times, our focus remains steadfast on constructive dialogue. We thus choose to set aside remarks from a certain delegation which not only lack decorum, but also detract from our collective efforts due to their destructive and punishious nature. We would strongly encourage that delegation to align with the central principles of respect and diplomacy, that must always guide our discussions. Or is that too much to ask of a country that harbours the most dubious track record on all aspects in itself.”

He said, “Congress is trying to discriminate between Hindu faiths. Mallikarjun Kharge has given a very dangerous statement related to Lord Ram and Lord Shiv. That statement is given with malicious intent. This is to create animosity between Shiv and Ram devotees. These are thousands of year-old traditions that even the Mughals could not break, how will Congress do it. A month ago, their Shehzada said that he would destroy Shakti. We are the worshippers of Shakti. Shehzada said that he would destroy Shakti. Can the devotees of Shakti forgive this?”
