Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan's fans are in for yet another treat. The Humsafar co-stars have reportedly reunited for Netflix's first-ever Pakistan-themed original. Titled Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, the web series is being shot in Italy, the U.K. and Pakistan. According to Variety, Dubai-based Momina Duraid Films FZ – LLC is producing the series. Momina Duraid is said to be serving as the showrunner. Netflix's Middle East and North Africa team have reportedly commissioned the project.

As per the report in Variety, the cast of Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo also includes Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir (Resident Evil, World on Fire Season 2), Hamza Ali Abbasi (The Legend of Maula Jatt), Bilal Ashraf (Superstar), Maya Ali (Parey Hut Love), Iqra Aziz (Raqeeb Se), Hania Aamir (Parde Mein Rehne Do), Khushaal Khan (Muhabbat Gumshuda Meri), Nadia Jamil (Jo Bichar Gaye), Omair Rana (Pinjra) and Samina Ahmed (Ms. Marvel).

Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo orbits around "Sikandar, a Harvard law student who experiences a life-changing incident that makes him keep others at bay, and Liza, a talented artist who is bursting with life but has had a troubled past. They meet in Italy."

Interestingly, Fawad and Mahira headlined the Pakistani channel, Hum TV's popular telenovela, Humsafar which was also based on the novel by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. They also teamed up for Bilal Lashari's The Legend of Maula Jatt.

The Pakistani-Punjabi film was an adaptation of the 1979 Pakistani classic Maula Jatt. Made on a budget of Rs. 45 crores, the film went on to earn Rs. 300 crores in its lifetime. The Legend of Maula Jatt was the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time. The Legend of Maula Jatt was scheduled to release in India. However, due to a ban on Pakistani films and artistes in the country, it never saw the daylight in India.

Fawad did a couple of Hindi films before the ban was imposed. He made his Bollywood debut with Khoobsurat co-starring Sonam Kapoor in 2014. Fawad was seen in Kapoor & Sons (2016) too. His last Hindi film was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in the same year. Mahira's only Bollywood film was Raees with Shah Rukh Khan in 2017.
