Kangana Ranaut has said she is 'not just a Bollywood star' after Subramanian Swamy questioned her Y-plus security from the government

Kangana Ranaut and her words are once again all over Twitter. After the release of 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani', the actress has been taking jibes at many Bollywood celebs, especially director Karan Johar. Amid this, she also reacted to Rajya Sabha member Subramanian Swamy questioning her Y-plus security status.
Back in 2022, Kangana Ranaut was accorded Y+ security by the Union Ministry of Home Affair (MHA) after she got into a spat with Shiv Sena minister Sanjay Raut. The actress had compared Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and claimed a threat to her life in the city.

Highlighting Kangana's Y-plus security, Swamy tweeted, “The SPG knows, and has kept a register of her movements. I wonder why since it is no business of SPG to track Bollywood stars. In her case, on a special dispensation, she has a high level of security provided.”
Kangana, in reply, tweeted, "I am not just a Bollywood star sir, I am also a very vocal and concerned citizen, I was the target of political malice in Maharashtra, at my expense nationalists could make a government here. I also spoke about tukde gang and strongly condemned Khalistani groups. I am also a filmmaker, writer and producer and my next production Emergency involves operation Bluestar… there is evident threat to my life, hence I requested for extended security… Is there something wrong in this Sir?”

Meanwhile, Kangana has been taking a dig at Karan Johar after his latest film started doing well at the box office and received positive reviews from critics as well. The actress dug up old videos of Johar talking about having the power to buy reviews. "Karan Johar ji bol rahe hain ki main paise phenk ke kuch bhi karwa sakta hoon… kuch bhi perception build kar sakta hoon…Kya yeh sirf apni films ko hit karate hain apna maheemamandan karte hain ya dusaron ka negative PR aur unki hit films ko flop bhi karate hain ?," she wrote sharing an old video of Johar addressing paid PR.
