Bollywood actor Aditya Roy Kapur has revealed the reason behind him staying away from discussing his personal life in public

Even though actor Aditya Roy Kapur's personal life has been in the news the last couple of years, the 'Aashiqui 2' star has always preferred to not speak about his life in public. The actor, whose relationship with actress Ananya Panday recently ended has spoken about the reason behind not speaking about his personal life.
Speaking on why he prefers to maintain a dignified silence on his personal life, Aditya told Lifestyle Asia India, “I guess I have always been quiet about my personal life. That’s the way I like it. I’ve never really found the need or the urge or the want to have people know all about me and my personal life. So, maybe that’s why I keep stuff to myself rather than, you know, put it all out there.”

He continued, “I guess may be the perception that I don’t give a f*ck comes from the fact that I’m not as active on social media. During Koffee With Karan, I said stuff about not really reading what people say about me. I don’t think it’s necessary to get into the granular level about what every comment about you is, because at the end of the day, there are going to be people that like you and people that don’t.”
Reports of Aditya and Ananya's breakup surfaced earlier this month. Ananya and Aditya’s dating rumours began when the two made a joint appearance at Kriti Sanon's Diwali party last year. The news of them parting ways comes as a shocker.
As per a report by ETimes, a source close to the couple said, "They broke up almost a month ago. They were going quite strong, and the break-up came as a shock to all of us. They are cordial with each other. Ananya is trying to move on, of course, there’s hurt. She is spending time with her new furry friend. Aditya is also trying to deal with the situation maturely."

During the episode of 'Koffee With Karan season 7', Ananya talked about finding Aditya attractive. When Karan Johar quizzed her about her alleged relationship with actor Ishaan Khatter and dating rumours with actor Kartik Aaryan, Ananya gave a cryptic answer and said she did not wish to dwell in the past. However, Ananya did reveal her newest crush when she said, "I find Aditya Roy Kapur hot."
When Aditya also appeared on the show in another episode, Karan asked, “So rumour has it and I asked her as well that you are dating Ananya Panday.” Aditya said: “You see Karan you said on your show ‘Ask me no secrets and I’ll tell you no lies.”
Continuing Karan asked, “But she said that she is very Ananya ‘Coy’ Kapoor.” Aditya replied: “And I am Aditya ‘Joy’ Kapoor as of now”
Karan asked, “Yes, you mean you are joyously in a situationship”, Aditya replied, “Yes I am quite joyous”
Not giving up, Karan said, “You are quite joyous. So the first word that comes to your mind when I say Ananya is Joy” and Aditya replied, “Yes, Pure Joy, bliss.”
