Actor Vikrant Massey is currently basking in the success of his last release'12th Fail' directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Based on a true story, the film sees Vikrant play the role of a man aspiring to become an IAS officer. Recently, during an interview with Youtuber Samdish Bhatia, Vikrant opened up about Chopra and drew parallels of his mannerisms to that of the character Virus from the film 3 Idiots.

The film, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, was backed by Chopra. The character of Virus was played by Boman Irani. He is an arrogant and ruthless engineering professor who serves as the director and headmaster of the Imperial College of Engineering (ICE).

Talking in detail about Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Vikrant said, “Vidhu Vinod Chopra is so passionate, he works 16 hours a day even today. Even if he sleeps at 2 am, he will be up for a morning walk at 7 am. He walks faster than me. The food you get at his house is outstanding he has 5-star chefs at home. From what I have known, for the last 30 years, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has to take an afternoon nap. Lately, he has started listening to a podcast that is 28 minutes long and wherever he is in the world, he follows the circadian cycle. Viru Sahastra Buddhe is inspired by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Just like how Virus used to lie down and get his beard shaved, that is Vidhu Vinod Chopra."

Vikrant started his acting career with television and slowly progressed his way to the big screen. He also spoke about quitting TV at the age of 24 when he was earning a lot. "I earned a lot in TV. I bought my first house at the age of 24. But all that regressive content on TV was happening simultaneously and I felt like coming out of the world and trying my luck in cinema. My parents were in shock when I told them I was going to restart in films. I was making a lot of money. At the age of 24, I was earning Rs 35 lakh per month, especially for someone who comes from a middle-class background. I quit TV at the time when I had a Rs 35 lakh per month contract in my hand. I decided to do good work and find peace. My savings got exhausted in a year and then my wife Sheetal (his girlfriend at the time) used to give me pocket money for auditions," he shared.
