With a week remaining to the release of Amit Rai-directed 'OMG 2', the makers have dropped the trailer of the film giving an insight into the theme of 'OMG 2'. In the first part, released in 2012, Paresh Rawal's atheist character was seen taking up a case against God after his shop gets destroyed following an earthquake. In OMG 2 trailer, a devotee played by Pankaj Tripathi fights a legal battle against his son's school. The OMG 2 trailer begins with Lord Shiva telling Nandi, the bull to send a trusted aide to earth to help his devotee as he will soon be faced with a big problem. We are introduced to Pankaj Tripathi as Kantisaran Mudgal and his son. While not much is revealed, we get a hint that his son does something he is not supposed and it also involves a shocking video of the act. While Kantisaran condemns his son, he decides to fight for him and takes up a case against the school. Yami Gautam plays a lawyer who fights the case on behalf of the school in OMG 2 trailer. Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva comes to Kantisaran's aide. Like the previous film, in this film as well, he pretends to be human while being aware of his Godly self. Akshay Kumar's next 'OMG 2', the sequel to the 2012 film 'OMG: Oh My God!' is set to hit the theatres in two weeks. Ahead of the release of the film, the makers have dropped the first song titled 'Har Har Mahadev'. The song is centered around Akshay's character of Lord Shiva. After playing a very subtle Lord Krishna in 'OMG: Oh My God', Akshay takes a not-so subtle approach of playing Lord Shiva. The actor is seen dressed as the widely known image of Lord Shiva with a jatamakuta (a coil of matted locks). In the first song from 'OMG 2', Akshay Kumar is seen dancing amid a sea of devotees. While not much is known about his character in the film, there is a scene in the song where Pankaj Tripathi, a staunch devotee, is seen looking at Akshay Kumar with his hands folded.

After playing Lord Krishna in the first installment of OMG: Oh My God!, the actor will now be seen playing Lord Shiva. Unlike the 2012 outing where he comes to the rescue of an atheist, this time he comes to help his devotee. The first film starred Paresh Rawal alongside Akshay Kumar with the brilliant Mithun Chakraborty as a God Man. The teaser begins with a brief recap of part 1 where Paresh Rawal aka Kanjilal, an atheist, witnesses divine intervention when Lord Krishna comes to aide. He files a case against God after he loses his shop in a natural disaster. However, for the sequel, Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva comes to the aide of his devotee Pankaj Tripathi. The character is portrayed as a believer who regularly worships Lord Shiva. While not much is revealed about the problem faced by Tripathi's character, he gets the help of the Lord himself in his battle on earth.
