Indrani Mukerjea, the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, recently alleged flaws in the investigation, sparking controversy after Sheena Bora's remains went missing from police custody on June 15. In an exclusive interview with ANI, Indrani Mukerjea claimed authorities may have instigated a flawed probe and suggested that Sheena Bora might be alive, contradicting the Mumbai Police's findings. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been probing the case since 2015, following Indrani's arrest in August 2015. Indrani, who spent over six years in Mumbai's Byculla women's prison, was granted bail by the Supreme Court in May 2022 amidst ongoing legal proceedings.

J&K Terror Attack: Terrorists Open Fire On Bus In J&K's Reasi, 9 Killed

A tragic incident occurred in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district on 9th June Sunday. A bus carrying pilgrims to the Shiv Khori cave temple was attacked by terrorists. The terrorists, hiding in the nearby forest, ambushed the vehicle and opened fire.  The bus plunged into a gorge during the gunfire, resulting in the deaths of nine people and injuries to 33 others. In response, the Police, Army, and CRPF swiftly set up a temporary operation at the site to launch a thorough investigation and catch the attackers. Drones were being used to search the forest area. Mohita Sharma, SSP Reasi said that Due to the firing, the bus driver lost the balance of the bus and it fell into the gorge. Meanwhile an eyewitness claimed that there were two terrorists who attacked the bus This attack is a major escalation of violence in the area, as Reasi district had previously seen less terrorist activity compared to neighboring regions like Rajouri and Poonch

Delhi Icecream Vendor Murder: 25 Year Old Brutally Killed Near India Gate

On 24th of April, a gruesome murder took place near India Gate, New Delhi. A 25-year-old ice cream vendor named Prabhakar was stabbed to death during a fight near India Gate late Wednesday evening. A case of murder was registered under Section 302 IPC. The preliminary investigation suggests that Prabhat was selling ice cream when he had an argument with a customer over payment. The matter escalated and the accused stabbed Prabhat with a knife, before running away from the crime spot. Prabhat rushed to the hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. The police arrested the accused, who was on the run after identifying him with the assistance of CCTV cameras installed in nearby shops. He has been brought to the police station for further information.

Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on April 13 talked about the sequence of events that led to the arrest of the Bengaluru café blast case suspects from West Bengal. Talking to ANI, the Home Minister praised the NIA and Karnataka Police for arresting the accused. He also raised doubts about their involvement in Shivamogga blast. “NIA has done a wonderful job. Our Karnataka police have done a wonderful job. Both of them hail from Karnataka. They studied together. I was told initially that they are from Thirthahalli, Shivamogga district. We will find out whether they have any links with the other agencies. These two were supposed to have been involved in the earlier Shivamogga blast. They had escaped for almost 3-4 years. And now after this incident, they are caught. NIA will investigate further. And then our police also will find out because they are originally from Karnataka. So let us wait and see what comes out of the investigation...” said G Parameshwara.

Bengaluru cafe blast: 2 suspects who planted bomb in Rameshwaram Cafe arrested

In a big win for NIA, two suspects of the Rameshwaram Café blast were nabbed from Kolkata on April 12. Mussavir Hussain Shazib, Abdul Matheen Taha were allegedly involved in Rameshwaram Café blast. Mussavir Hussain Shazib is accused of planting the IED inside the Rameshwaram Café. On the other hand, Abdul Matheen Taha is said to be the mastermind of the attack. The NIA had declared rewards of Rs 10 lakh on each of the absconders. NIA, Central Agencies and police force of several states worked together to nab the accused. The cafe in Bengaluru's Whitefield area was jolted by a low-intensity blast on March 1. The case was handed over to the NIA on March 3, following the NIA team’s visit to the blast site.
