A father and his son was reportedly killed when their motorcycle fell off a bridge after it was hit from behind by a speeding car in Saoner town in Nagpur district of Maharashtra, the police said on Monday, according to the PTI.
The incident occurred on Sunday night on the Patnasawangi-Babulkheda road, around 30 km from Nagpur city, when the father--Pramod Choudhary (52) and his son Purvesh (18) were headed on a motorcycle to attend a wedding function, an official said, the news agency reported.

"A speeding car hit their motorcycle from behind. Due to the impact, the bike fell off the bridge over the Kolar river," he said, as per the PTI.
Pramod Choudhary was killed on the spot while Purvesh succumbed to his injuries during treatment at a private hospital in Maharashtra's Nagpur.
A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicle Act against the car driver who fled the spot. Efforts were underway to trace the suspect, an official said.
Two killed after SUV hits truck, crashes into railing on Samruddhi Expressway in Buldhana
Meanwhile, in an another incident, atleast two persons were reportedly killed when their SUV hit a truck and crashed into the railing on the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Expressway in Maharashtra's Buldhana district on Monday, police said, reported the PTI.
The accident took place at around 9.30 am on Monday, an official said.
Two occupants of the SUV were killed when the vehicle rammed the rear of the truck and crashed into the railing on the expressway, he said.
Further details of the incident are awaited, the official said, the news agency reported.
In a similar accident, one person died, and another was injured on Sambhajinagar Highway in the district on Sunday night, police said, according to the PTI.
The accident occurred between a truck and a tipper near Kingaonraja village around 11 pm, another official said, as per the PTI.
The driver of the tipper died, while the accused truck driver sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment in Jalna, he said, adding that a case has been registered, the news agency reported on Monday.
