A fire broke out in a high-rise in Mumbai's Antop Hill area on Friday night. According to officials, the fire was reported around 11 pm. There have been no reported injuries or casualties resulting from the incident, the officials confirmed. In a later update, the officials said that the fire was extinguished around 12.30 am.

Smoke was detected on floor 26 of the building which has a total of 38 floors above ground level. The MFB declared this a Level-1 emergency around 11.23 pm, officials added. They also said that the fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installations, wooden furniture and household articles in the room on 26th floor.

Two big hose lines and one hose reel line of fixed firefighting system of the building were in operation, the MFB officials said.
Fire erupts in Thane bldg; 350 evacuated
A fire broke out early Friday in a five-story building in Maharashtra's Thane area, forcing 350 people to evacuate.
The incident occurred near Aman Heights in Mumbra's Shivaji Nagar area, according to PTI. Fortunately, the incident was contained to the electric metre room and caused no injuries.
Yasin Tadvi, the head of Thane Municipal Corporation's Disaster Management Cell, stated that the fire began at 1:30 am and damaged 109 electric meters. By 2:30 am, firefighters had successfully contained the incident.
Residents were concerned by the heavy black smoke and quickly exited the premises. The 350 residents were securely evacuated from the premises. They were permitted to return to their flats after police certified the area was secure, PTI said.
As a precaution, the building's power supply was turned off, and efforts were underway to restore it during the day. Authorities have yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
