Pak Govt Mulling Legal Options To Declare Pti, Terror Tag For Imran Khan's Party

As former Pak PM continues to evade arrest, Pakistan Govt is planning a legal attack to cripple his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Pakistan Govt is planning to tale legal steps to declare Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) a banned outfit, according to Express Tribune. Speaking at a press conference on March 18, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said the legal team of the ruling PML-N was examining the matter Pak Minister’s remarks came after police claimed to have seized weapons and petrol bombs from Imran’s residence. However, adding further, Sanaullah clarified that it is ultimately up to the courts to officially ban a political party. Express Tribune reported that the guns, petrol boom-making equipment and other weapons were recovered at Zaman Park. Rana said that the cases were registered against the “rioting elements” as they had caused great damage to property after a court order.
