In a major victory in the Uttarkashi tunnel rescue operation, the NDRF on Nov 28 rescued all trapped workers from the Silkyara tunnel. The NDRF personnel entered the Silkyara tunnel to rescue the workers on the 17th day of the tunnel collapse. The rescuers entered the tunnel by completing 45-meter pipe drilling to evacuate the workers.
