Union External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar on February 16 arrived at Suva Airport. Jaishankar met the President of Fiji Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere and Attended the commissioning of Solar Panel Event. While delivering a joint statement with the Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka in Suva, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed honour to have partnered the island nation in its national building. “India and Fiji have close and long-standing ties and a large part of that is built on our people-to-people linkages. We`ve been privileged to partner Fiji in its nation-building efforts across various sectors in working with it in capacity building in health, education, agriculture,” said the EAM on February 16.
