Mumbai news live updates: Maharashtra CM Shinde asks ministers to exercise caution while speaking on Maratha quota
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday expressed displeasure over contradictory statements made by his cabinet colleagues on Maratha reservation and urged them to exercise caution on the emotive issue. Shinde made his displeasure known to his ministerial colleagues while presiding over a state cabinet meeting here, sources said. The issue of Maratha quota, which saw activist Manoj Jarange undertaking a nine-day fast and setting December 24 deadline for its resolution, and the political fallout of the reservation agitation, was discussed at the meeting.

Mumbai news live updates: Maharashtra government sets up advisory board on Maratha quota issue
The Maharashtra Government on Wednesday set up an advisory board headed by retired justice Dilip Bhosale for extending legally assistance on the issues related to Maratha quota. Other members of the board are retired justices Maroti Gaikwad and Sandeep Shinde, said a statement from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde`s office.

Mumbai news live updates: Pre-owned car seller from Thane booked for cheating Nashik man of Rs 2 lakh
The police in Maharashtra`s Thane city have registered a case against a man for cheating a Nashik resident of nearly Rs 2 lakh under the pretext of selling him a pre-owned car, an official said on Wednesday. The complainant recently got in touch with accused Sagar Vichare, who runs a used car business in Thane, after he ran a search for second-hand cars. Vichare then "sold" him a car for Rs 1.9 lakh, the official said. The man took the car to Nashik where he found that there was a pending traffic challan of Rs 2,000 against it. He sought to speak to the car owner but Vichare gave him vague replies.
