Oshiwara Police managed to recover Rs 5 lakhs of actor Rakesh Bedi who fell prey to online fraud recently. The actor approached the police within 48 hours of the incident.
Police sources told mid-day that the accused called Bedi and claimed that money from his account was transferred to the account of the accused and sought OTP to transfer the money back to his account. However, he responded that he hadn't transferred money and hung up.

Following the call, Rakesh Bedi checked his account and found that Rs 4.98 lakhs were debited and he approached the cops on the day of the incident--May 3--and filed an FIR against the unknown accused under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.
