To rekindle dwindling culture of art & writing while reigniting the expression of human emotion, India Post Maharashtra Circle orchestrated a 'Patrotsav'.

This event saw a vibrant participation of over 100 individuals from various schools across Mumbai city and its suburbs, all gathered to celebrate the art of composing heartfelt letters within the premises of the Mumbai GPO.

The core objective of this event was to resurrect the art and culture of letter writing and to rekindle the authentic expression of human emotions using the age-old method of pen and paper, a stark contrast to the technology-driven communication methods prevalent today.

Amitabh Singh, Postmaster General of the Mumbai Region, emphasized the significance of this initiative and its potential to restore the beauty of handwritten letters, which are often overshadowed in the digital era.

The grandeur of the "1st Mumbai Letter Fest, PATROTSAV 2023" unfolded at 11 am on Saturday within the historic premises of the Mumbai GPO, marking a significant event within the framework of National Postal Week 2023.

National Postal Week, which commenced on the 9th of October 2023, aimed to create awareness about the enduring importance and relevance of letter writing, especially among the youth and children of the nation.

Distinguished individuals graced the occasion, with celebrated writers Shri Raviraj Gandhe serving as the Chief Guest, and Smt Santani Govindan and calligraphy mentor Shri Achyut Palav as Guests of Honor.

Dr Ajinkya Kale, Director of Postal Services for the Mumbai Region, also joined the dignitaries in the event, emphasizing the significance of this cultural revival initiative.
