CID actor Dayanand Shetty says Dinesh Phadnis did not suffer heart attack
On Saturday night, it was reported that actor Dinesh Phadnis has been hospitalised and kept on ventilator. The actor is best known for his role as Frederick on the popular show C.I.D. The actor, who is in his late 50s, is receiving medical treatment at Mumbai’s Tunga Hospital. While earlier reports claimed that Phadnis suffered a stroke after which he was hospitalised. However, His CID co-star Dayanand Shetty has quashed rumours of heart attack. Talking to indianexpress.com Shetty said, "Dinesh Phadnis is hospitalised and on a ventilator, doctors are observing him. He has not suffered a heart attack, it is a different treatment and I wouldn’t like to comment on it.” Shetty played the role of Senior Inspector Daya in the show. He along with actors Shivaji Satam and Aditya Srivastava are the main leads of the show. He has also written for some of the episodes of CID. C.I.D is a popular detective show that aired on SONY TV from 1998 to 2018 and is one of the longest-running fictional shows. Dinesh played the role of Fredericks. He was known for his comic timing and his innocence. He was part of the team headed by ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam). Apart from working as an Inspector in this TV series, he has also written some of the episodes of C.I.D. The actor also had a special appearance in one of the episodes of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as his popular character. He also appeared in the Bollywood film 'Sarfarosh' and 'Super 30'. He has also written for a Marathi film. The actor is reportedly a resident of Borivali East in Mumbai. Dinesh Phadnis is quite active on his Instagram handle. He often shares throwback pictures from the sets of CID. Apart from that he also shares pictures with his daughter. TMKOC fans slam makers for fooling them about Dayaben's return
'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is among the longest-running comedy shows on TV. The show that has been successfully running on TV has been met with boycott calls on X. Disappointed fans took to the micro-blogging site to express their anger at the recent turn of events on the show. Lately, it was teased that actress Disha Vakani who used to play Dayaben will return to the show. The show which is currently celebrating 15 years of being on air raised hopes of Daya's return to the show. The largest verified fan page of 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' recently posted a video on Instagram. In the video, Jethalal (played by Dilip Joshi) tells his son Tapu that, on the occasion of Diwali, his mother Dayaben is coming back from Ahmedabad. Jethalal informs us that Sundar, Daya's on-screen brother, has declared he will bring her home. However, when the episode aired it turned out to be a hoax as Daya failed to return to the show. In the scene, Jethalal is seen shedding tears when he sees that Daya did not return with her brother from Ahmedabad. This not just left Jethalal teary-eyed but all fans of the show and Dayaben's characters. Angry and disappointed fans immediately took to X to call out the makers for playing with the sentiments of the audience for TRPs. Reportedly, after teasing Dayaben's return, the TRP of the show shot up. On the occasion, Asit Modi, the show runner announced that Disha Vakani will soon be returning to the show. He had said, "In this journey of 15 years, a hearty congratulations to all of them. CID star Dinesh Phadnis hospitalised, kept on life support

After a video of actress Rashmika Mandanna’s face was used in a deepfake video, conversations have been going on around the same. Actress and singer Himanshi Khurana, shares her thoughts on deep fakes, and said her concerns about such technologies. Himanshi said: “Creating fake videos just for the sake of it can significantly impact someone's mental health and tarnish their image. While the creators may find it amusing, the consequences are genuinely saddening. Even with widespread education, such videos continue to go viral, highlighting the need for awareness and responsible use of technology.” “It's disheartening to witness such incidents not only involving celebrities but also affecting ordinary individuals.” Himanshi added: “Big celebrities’ videos become viral easily, such things are inappropriate and they get views because of such big celebrities. “The technology is for good use to reach everyone and give something new for our future generation but we’re using it inappropriately which is not good. No one has the right to make such videos and get it viral.” The actress said that due to societal judgements, women are more likely to become targets of something like a deepfake. “Female actors are often more vulnerable to targeting due to a perceived fear that male actors might take decisive action if subjected to similar treatment.” “This could be attributed to societal judgments, where women are seen as easier targets for online harassment, as their videos tend to go viral more frequently, making them more lucrative and susceptible to exploitation.” She added that public figure’s information is more accessible and puts them at further risk: “Public figures are at greater risk because their images, contact information, and email addresses are easily accessible, making them targets. Bigg Boss 17 Day 47 Highlights: The episode begins with Munawar and Mannara speaking about people throwing tantrums in the house. Munawar gets angry at the way Mannara talks to him and walks off. He later tries to explain to Mannara about her behaviour towards him and what problem he had with it. He explains how others taunt him but he does not let that affect him. Neil Bhatt tells Mannara to speak properly to Salman sir and Bigg Boss. Rinku then jumps in and tells Neil not to be 'Father Neil' and preach to people. Ankita talks to Anurag about Mannara's negative nature towards her. She says that Mannara is possessive towards people she likes and tells Anurag to make her understand as a friend. Sana yells at Khanzaaadi while the others look at them. She gets triggered and gets teary-eyed. Khanzaadi feels that no one stood for her. Chintu and Achanak Bhayanak make fun of Sana as she tries to trigger Khanzaadi. Later, Ankita and Anurag try to calm and motivate Khanzaadi. During the fun task in the garden, Khanzaadi refuses to come out of the bed. Bigg Boss asks contestants to leave her and carry on with the task. The task requires contestants to have a cook-off. Later on, Munawar feels something off with Ankita's tone towards him and confronts her. She admits to him that she is making efforts to detach herself from him as she is not okay with Mannara's behaviour towards her.

Furious Kapil Sharma lashes out against airline over delayed flight
Comedian Kapil Sharma seems to have had a harrowing time at the Chennai airport on Wednesday. Sharma, in a series of posts on X, lashed out against the airline Indigo over a delayed flight. He also highlighted the issues faced by passengers, especially the disabled ones. In his first post on the matter, the comedian said, "Dear @IndiGo6E first you made us wait in the bus for 50 minz, and now your team is saying pilot is stuck in traffic, what ? Really ? we supposed to take off by 8 pm n it’s 9:20, still there is no pilot in cockpit, do you think these 180 passengers will fly in indigo again ? Never 👎 #indigo 6E 5149 #shameless (sic)." KBC 15: 8th grade student from Haryana becomes youngest winner of Rs 1 crore
A 12-year-old contestant from Haryana has created history on the quiz-based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’ by becoming the youngest child to win Rupees 1 crore in the game. The eighth-grade student, hailing from Mahendragarh in Haryana, won one crore points in the ‘KBC Juniors Week’. The boy seamlessly impressed the host of the show, megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who was captivated by Mayank’s intelligence and wit. For the one-crore question, Mayank was asked, "Which European cartographer is credited with creating the map that gave the name 'America' to the newly discovered continent?” The options given were - A: Abraham Ortelius, B: Gerardus Mercator, C: Giovanni Battista Agnese, and D: Martin Waldseemuller. Mayank took the lifeline ‘Ask the expert’, and gave the correct answer--Martin Waldseemuller. On winning the huge prize money, Mayank started crying and hugged his parents and the actor.
