Mamata accuses PM Modi of funding lies

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP of spreading false information regarding funds provided to state.

Addressing a rally in Diamond Harbour, she challenged the PM to prove his claims that the Centre had sent funds which were allegedly misused by the TMC.

BJP state spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya responded to Banerjee`s accusations by asserting that the Prime Minister was highlighting corruption within the TMC.

Bhattacharya claimed that the TMC is deeply corrupt and that Banerjee`s remarks indicate she is rattled by being exposed.

Mamata Banerjee reiterated her opposition to BJP`s policies such as Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) & Uniform Civil Code.

Banerjee urged the people of West Bengal to vote against the BJP to prevent the implementation of policies like the CAA, NRC, and UCC.
