Having won the toss in the crucial IPL 2024 match, Rajasthan Royals opted to bowl first against Sunrisets Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The team winning today's clash will directly play the finals on May 26 against Kolkata Knight Riders

Explosive opening batsman Abhishek Sharma was only able to score 12 runs. Coming in to bat at number three Rahul Tripathi accumulated 37 runs in 15 balls before getting caught into Yuzvendra Chahal's hands. Despite losing wickets in regular intervals, Aiden Markram failed to stabilize the innings for Hyderabad as the veteran was dismissed on just one run

All the first three wickets were bagged by Rajastha Royals' lead pacer Trent Boult. Completing three overs, the pacer conceded 32 runs for three wickets

Later, facing 28 balls, steady Travis Head scored 34 runs including 3 fours and 1 six, thanks to RR speedster Sandeep Sharma. Head lost his wicket on the last ball of the 10th over

Rajasthan Royals' star pacer Avesh Khan on the other hand registered two back-to-back wickets of Nitish Kumar Reddy and Abdul Samad. Reddy returned to the pavilion after scoring five runs and Samad departed on a duck

Despite going wicketless in the IPL 2024 match against Sunriser Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals' star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal played a crucial role on the field. The spinner took three catches to dismiss Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram and Nitish Kumar Reddy. Chahal in his four overs spell, leaked 34 runs without claiming any wickets

In an attempt to guide SRH to a commendable total, Heinrich Klaasen completed his fourth fifty of the season on the 17.5th ball. Boult ending his four-over spell registered three wickets for 45 runs

On the very first ball of the next over Klaasen was bowled out by Sandeep Sharma. The pacer with his slower balls conceded just 25 runs for two wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to put a total of 175 runs on board for the loss of nine wickets against Rajasthan Royals. Trent Boult and Avesh Khan registered two wickets each to their names. Sandeep Sharma bagged two wickets from the other hand. Heinrich Klaasen was the highest run-scorer for SRH. His knock of 50 runs came in 34 deliveries which were laced with 4 fours
