The Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium pitch in Gahunje is expected to be a batting paradise in today's India v Bangladesh clash. Hence, it will be a real test for the bowlers from both teams. The spinners will have to think twice before flighting the ball considering the small straight boundaries. The side batting first will probably be at an advantage and would do well to post a 300-plus score. At the same time, with the dew factor coming into play under lights, the team chasing the target will have a good chance as well. The teams will relish the batting conditions.

Maharashtra's Ranji team captain Ankit Bawne, while playing for Kolhapur Tuskers, smashed six fours in one over, bowled by Eagle Nashik Titans leg-spinner Prashant Solanki during the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) T20 at the same ground. Bawne's 60-ball 105 not out, which was laced with 11 fours and four sixes against Ratnagiri Jets, also came at this venue. So it will be a treat to watch in-form India captain Rohit Sharma and his army of star batsmen like Virat Kohli and others capitalise on a batting-friendly pitch today.
