The 53rd fixture of the IPL 2024 between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings is underway at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. Punjab Kings captain Sam Curran has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Chennai Super Kings.
Both teams have clashed against each other in 29 matches in the history of the Indian Premier League. Chennai is leading the streak with 15 wins, whereas Punjab have won 14 matches. PBKS will look to equal the record, today against CSK.
Punjab Kings opener Jonny Bairstow seems to be in great form in the IPL 2024. In eight IPL 2024 matches, the veteran has scored 250 runs with a highest score of 108 runs. The team will heavily rely on him to get them a blistering start.

Punjab will continue to miss the services of their captain Shikhar Dhawan. Stand-in captain Sam Curran will lead the pack ahead of the IPL 2024 match against CSK.
