CM Yogi Criticizes Congress Over Emergency 1975, Says, "Congress Has Dictatorial Character"

 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized Congress and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, marking the 50th anniversary of the Emergency. He accused Congress of maintaining a dictatorial character despite changing faces, citing a lack of faith in constitutional bodies. Adityanath emphasized the historical significance of June 25, 1975, when Indira Gandhi`s government imposed Emergency, alleging it strangled the Constitution. He praised Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for passing a resolution condemning the Emergency. Adityanath claimed Congress has made 75 amendments to the Constitution in 75 years and accused its current leadership of misleading the nation on constitutional matters and reservations.
