The party workers held social welfare programs like food distribution and distribution of medicines in the name of Thackeray scion.
Amit Thackeray was born to parents Raj and Sharmila on May 24 in 1992 in Mumbai. For the longest time, he had stayed away from political limelight.
Amit Thackeray joined his father's party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena in 2019 and has since led the youth wing of the party.
Off lately, Amit Thackeray has been spotted with his father meeting the top leaders including Union Home Minister Amit Shah indicative of his heightened involvement in active politics.
Recently, Amit Thackeray was caught in crossfire after MNS workers vandalised Sinnar toll plaza after his convoy was stopped on Samruddhi Expressway. The incident had led to a political slugfest.
