The officials said no one was injured in the incident; they however noted that several residents were stranded. 

The official said that the firemen rescued several residents who were stranded on the 15th, 21st and 22nd floors of the building and shifted them safely to the terrace through the staircase. 

The blaze erupted in Dhavalgiri Building on August Kranti Road around 9.30 am on the 8th and 12th floor. 

The official told the media that the cause and origin of the fire on both floors have not been ascertained yet. 

The fire brigade stated that the level 2 fire was confined to electrical wiring and installations, furniture, doors, and household articles of apartments. 

The fire fighting operations are underway; eight fire engines, six jet tanks and one breathing apparatus (BA) van, one hydraulic platform (HP), one Turntable Ladder (TTL), and one high-rise van were deployed on-site. 

Meanwhile, the divisional officer (DO) and one assistant divisional offiver (ADO) are on-site managing the situation.
