The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Ajit Pawar, unveiled its manifesto for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.

In its manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the party sought support for a caste-based census and advocated for social equality and unity irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar affirmed the NCP's commitment to the principles of equality and social reform, quoting Sane Guruji's maxim, "The true religion is to offer love to the world," and stressing the need to integrate marginalised communities into the mainstream.

The manifesto asserted NCP's intention to push for a caste-based census if elected to power, aligning with the longstanding demand championed by its former ally, the Congress.

Ajit Pawar reiterated the party's stance on advocating for a caste-based census and said that their party believes in the "right to live as a human irrespective of caste, creed and religion". He said NCP believes in equality and unity.

The NCP manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 also calls for conferring the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, upon the late former Maharashtra Chief Minister and Defence Minister Yashvantrao Chavan, recognising his contributions to the nation.

The NCP's manifesto outlines additional demands, including granting semi-English status to Urdu medium schools in the state.

Another key demand highlighted in the manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 is the implementation of a minimum support price for farm produce.
