Mumbai: Wall collapses in Antop Hill, two women dead

Two women died after a portion of a wall collapsed in a slum at Antop Hill on Friday night.

As per the information given by the disaster management unit of the BMC, the incident occurred in Panja Galli in Vijay Nagar around 9.30 pm. A portion of a wall on the second and third floor partially collapsed, with some portion hanging precariously.

After receiving a call, the fire bridge officials reached the spot and removed the portion that was hanging. The two women were sent to civic-run LTMG Sion hospital where both were declared dead. The women have been identified as Shobhadevi Mourya, 45, and Zakirunissa Shaikh, 50.
