The western region, encompassing Maharashtra and Goa, maintained its exceptional performance by achieving a staggering 99.71 per cent pass percentage, securing the top position among the four regions in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Std X exams.

However, in the Indian School Certificate (ISC) Std XII exams, the western region slipped to the second position with a pass percentage of 99.32 per cent compared to the previous year. The south region claimed the top position in ISC.

The Council of Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (CICSE) on Monday announced the results from both ICSE and ISC exams. Last year the results were declared on May 14.

For the first time, CISCE has introduced the option for re-evaluation of answer scripts. Students can apply for a recheck through the menu link ‘Public Services' on the CISCE website (https://cisce.org) until May 10. Results of the recheck will be announced within four weeks. Candidates who remain dissatisfied with the recheck can then apply for re-evaluation.

Additionally, Improvement Exams will be conducted in July 2024 for a maximum of two subjects.

This year, the ISC Chemistry and Psychology papers had to be rescheduled due to unavoidable circumstances, as stated by the board.
