Team 'Cartel' joins Mission Green Mumbai to plant trees in Aarey Forest

The team of ALTBalaji's 'Cartel' joined hands with Mission Green Mumbai for an important cause. The 'Cartel' team and the NGO came together to plant trees in Aarey Colony in Mumbai.

For the unversed, 'Cartel' is a show featuring The Angre family, who own and rule Aarey. The whole idea was to promote awareness about protecting Aarey. The show's lead, Rithvik Dhanjani, who plays Abhay Angre in the series, was present at the location. Along with him, Pranati Rai Prakash, Anil George, Sushrii Mishraa, and Kannan Arunachalam took part in the tree plantation.

Talking about the drive, Rithvik Dhanjani said, "I want to thank ALTBalaji's team for making us do this. It is not just a promotional gimmick for us, it is a step to preserve our environment, and that's what kicked me to wake up early in the morning for it."

Pranati Rai Prakash added, "I'm glad the team of Cartel can play a small part in setting the right example. I always wanted to do something of this sort, and I'm elated that I'm doing this."

Subhajit Mukherjee from Mission Green Mumbai, a foundation that was started to increase the green cover in and around Mumbai, in a statement said, "I'm thankful for this opportunity to work with ALTBalaji together in mitigating the effects of climate change, especially in Mumbai by planting trees. We will try to create a movement where everyone should plant a tree and grow their oxygen. It is a small step towards our goal, and with so many known personalities taking up the drive themselves, we hope it manages to make a difference in the minds of the people."

'Cartel' has been received very well by the audience, and the response has been overwhelming to the team. 'Cartel' revolves around the challenges and obstacles faced by The Angre Family after an attack changes the fate of their house. The start cast of the show consists of stellar actors like Supriya Pathak, Tanuj Virwani, Jitendra Joshi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Pranati Rai Prakash, Divya Agarwal, Girija Oak Godbole, Jitendra Joshi, Amey Wagh, Monica Dogra, Tannishtha Chatterjee, and others.
