Tamil actor Pradeep Vijayan passes away, body found two days after death

Tamil actor Pradeep Vijayan was found dead at his home in Chennai. His friend contacted the police after his calls went unanswered

Tamil actor Pradeep Vijayan was found dead at his Palavakkam home on June 12. According to reports, the actor's friend reached out to the police after he was unable to contact him for two days. The police found his body at his home and sent for postmortem at a government hospital. The cause of death is being investigated.

Reportedly, Pradeep had recently complained of shortness of breath and dizziness. Pradeep's friend was constantly trying to reach out to him through calls for two days. When his calls were unanswered, he went to his house. When the knocks on the door were not responded to, the friend contacted the police.

After the complaint, the Neelankarai police along with the fire department broke into the house where they found Pradeep's body. His body also had a head injury. His body has been taken to Royapettah Government Hospital.

Reportedly, Pradeep was found two days after his death in his apartment. It is being said that he suffered a head injury and a heart attack. However, the police are investigating the exact cause of death and a postmortem will be conducted for the same.

Singer and actor Soundarya Bala Nandakumar confirmed the sad news with a post on X. It read, "Ok this is coming as a shocker. Was very fond of him as a brother. No we never used to talk every day but whenever once in a blue moon we spoke affection was very much intact You will be terribly missed Pradeep K Vijayan anna. May your soul rest in peace (sic)."

Pradeep made his acting debut in 2013. He was fondly known as Pappu. In his decade-long career, he worked in several films including Janani-starrer 'Theigidi' and 'Hey Sinamika'. His last film will be released on June 14 in theatres. He will be seen in a supporting role in the Tail film 'Maharaja' starring Vijay Sethupathi.
