The India Couture Week 2023 was the 16th edition of the annual fashion event. It aimed to highlight and celebrate India’s rich craftsmanship for a contemporary audience organised by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), the fashion event sees celebrated and upcoming Indian designers showcase their latest collections. Different celebrities are styled in these stunning collections. This year too, celebs like Aditi Rao Hydari, Ranbir Kapoor and Kiara Advani stole the show as they walked the ramp. In a show that marked her comeback to India Couture Week after a decade, couturier Ritu Kumar presented her collection titled ‘The OG’ that featured ensembles which combined traditional crafts like kasab and kashidakari into modern outfits through classic couture tailoring. Couturier Varun Bahl presented his collection 'Inner Bloom' on Day 3 of the Hyundai India Couture Week 2023. His collection was handcrafted for the modern Indian bride. The collection showcased artisanal embroideries with beautiful 3D flowers. The collection included bridal couture pieces which were bohemian, featured experimental, dreamy and edgy designing while retaining their fine-tailored and haute-couture look

Couturier Kunal Rawal presented his collection ‘Dhup Chao’ on Day 4 of India Couture Week 2023.  The collection spanned across the vestiges of time, taking inspiration from our own past, while traversing the depths of the future of Indian fashion. The pieces in this collection were steeped in and inspired by the vibrant heirlooms of Indian history. It also celebrated the diversity of fashion aesthetics across different Indian sub-cultures

Ranbir Kapoor represented the 'Dhup Chao' collection. The actor donned a stylish, buttoned-up kurta that boasted a shimmering yet classy appeal, perfectly complemented by lungi-esque pants that added a touch of contemporary flair to the overall traditional look

Gaurav Gupta is known to experiment with surrealism and elements of the fantastical in his design. His new collection is titled ‘Hiranyagarbha’ which is Sanskrit for ‘the golden womb’ aka the universal origin/source of the creation. Gupta says that the collection embodies a journey of birth and rebirth, transformation and metamorphosis – it captures what it means to be alive after bursting forth from nothingness. The designer merged the titular inspiration with the brand's iconic architectural designs in this collection. He also incorporated traditional Indian embroidery techniques to achieve a stunning haute couture look

Jahnvi Kapoor stole the stage for Gupta's 'Hiranyagarbha' collection. She walked the ramp in a stunning midnight blue lehenga, whose electrifying colour, intricate embroidery and star-like glitter swept audiences away. Her outfit featured a bralette-style blue blouse with thin stripes and a plunging neckline. She paired it with a free-flowing long blue skirt and a cape, whose trail seemed to make her levitate. The collection pays homage to and plays with the multiple forms, power and versatility of water - its form, power, and versatility. The collection uses traditional fabrics and weaves to create contemporary garments that embody the spirit, flow and ripples of water bodies. The collection also experiments with fluidity of identity through the metaphor of water

Ananya Panday evoked hushed reverence through her 'Golden Bird' look for the collection. The unique train at the back of the dress curved in an unusual style, embodying the spirit of water

Modernity met tradition in Anamika Khanna's collection at Hyundai India Couture Week 2023. Rooted in the present context and inspired by the past, pieces from the collection embraced silver and gold metallic aesthetics and features gems like emeralds and pearls

Athiya Shetty chose to wear an intricately embroidered cream dress with long sleeves, enhanced by stunning jewellery and towering heels. Her ravishing look was completed with a chic bun and sophisticated makeup

Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna presented their enchanting collection, Equinox at India Couture Week 2023. The inspiration behind the collection was drawn from the geometrical aesthetics of the equinox and of changing seasons. The collection was also rooted in the dreamy and alluring aesthetics of wintry walks, where trellis designs adorning ancient metal fences become symbols of hope

Sobhita Dhulipala dominated the runway in a glamorous, contemporary silver lehenga.
