Pakistani star Mahira Khan, who attended Arijit Singh's concert in Dubai over the weekend, said it was a pleasure to watch the Indian singer "whirling in joy, surrounded by love". The duo hit headlines yesterday after a video of Singh apologising to Khan did the rounds online. While the singer had spotted Khan, he failed to immediately recognise her. Ironically, Singh even sang the song Zaalima, which featured Khan. "Can we have the camera [on her]? I was trying to recognise this person, then I remembered, I had sung for her. Mahira Khan is sitting right in front of me. I was singing her song Zaalima, and she was singing, and I couldn't recognise her. I am so sorry. Ma'am, thank you so much," he said. Khan later expressed her admiration for him on social media.

Pump it up

Members of the Roshan family continue to heap praise on one another's gym shenanigans. Hrithik, who was recently seen in Fighter, lauded father Rakesh for his exercise routine after the latter shared a glimpse of it on social media. Rakesh is seen pulling off a variety of exercises involving equipment like the cable, dumbbells, and resistance bands. "I wasn't posting, but I never missed a workout. My dedication stayed strong," wrote Roshan senior. "I mean, how? Unbelievable, papa," responded the happy son, also a fitness freak and ambassador for fitness brands. Rakesh, while discussing his victory over cancer, had spoken about his dedication to his fitness routine.

With a difference

Having played a wide variety of roles in her decade-long career, Sonakshi Sinha acknowledges that she had the opportunity to showcase her skills. She is grateful to those filmmakers who took a "risk" while casting her. "Very few people have taken that sort of risk with me, and I am thankful to those who did, including Vikramaditya Motwane, Murugadoss, Reema Kagti, and now [Sanjay Leela Bhansali]," she said. Sinha will be seen in Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, which will release on Netflix tomorrow. "For an actor, it is a dream to push yourself and present to the audience a side they haven't seen before. The role I play in this project is one I have been waiting to play. I have wanted to play a negative character."

Getting ready for life

Shefali Shah has shared her parenting secrets as she opened up about the reading habits of her two kids. Shah said that while her children were not avid readers when they were young, over the years, they have developed a taste for reading books. "I read everything. But they started reading a lot of stuff which [teaches] them life hacks. My older one wants to be a businessman. My younger one wants to do something else," she said.

All the might

NTR Jr, who is in Mumbai to shoot for War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan, is also making time to bond with members of the Bollywood fraternity. On Sunday, NTR Jr and his wife, Lakshmi Pranathi, were spotted having an intimate dinner with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, and War 2 director Ayan Mukerji. Hrithik joined them with his girlfriend, Saba Azad.

New ventures

Actor Deepak Tijori, who is set to direct the upcoming film Tipppsy, has shared insights on casting Danish Bhat, who has previously worked in Heroine, Tiger Zinda Hai, Baaghi 3, Samrat Prithviraj, and Tiger 3. In Tijori's film, he plays a pivotal character named Kabir, a biker with a love for travelling. "When I signed him, I was convinced he was my Kabir. I believe, when you cast correctly, half the job is done. He builds up the mystery in the film, and does justice to it," said Tijori. The film is set to release on May 10.

Dharmendra's regret

Veteran star Dharmendra took a trip down memory lane as he talked about his parents and expressed regret over not spending more time with them. Dharmendra took to X and shared an old picture featuring himself, his father, Kewal Kishan Singh Deol, and his elder actor-filmmaker son, Sunny Deol. "Kaash! Maa, baap ko aur waqt diya hota," he wrote. He also took to Instagram to reveal that he had been keeping himself busy with "kheti baadi". "This year, you will see me in Ikkees, a beautiful film by Sriram Raghavan."
