Ayushmann Khurrana, Kangana Ranaut, and other celebs cast their vote in the final phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024

As the final phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 set things in motion across the remaining states, actors stepped out to cast their votes. Actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who was roped in by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to encourage young voters to participate in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, cast his vote in Chandigarh.

After casting his vote, Ayushmann said: "I think we all should vote in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Voting gives a sense of empowerment." "The Election Commission of India brought me in for the campaign, so it was a big responsibility for me. That is why I came from Chandigarh to Bombay just to vote and also to encourage everyone to participate and choose who will serve us for the next five years," he added.

Actress Kangana Ranaut, the BJP candidate from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi constituency, flaunted her inked finger after casting her vote for the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 on Saturday. The actress urged everyone to participate in the "festival of democracy" and "exercise" their right to vote.

After casting her vote, Kangana said: "I have cast my vote right now. I want to appeal to the people to take part in the festival of democracy and exercise their right to vote." The actress shared that it feels like a festival. "So many people had to shed their blood so that we get the right to vote, so use this right," said the actress. Kangana added: "I am hopeful that the people of Mandi will bless me, and we will get all four seats of the state."

Bengali actress and former Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Nusrat Jahan exercised her voting rights. After casting her vote at a polling booth in Abdul Wahid Memorial School in Shikarpur, Kolkata, West Bengal, the actress and politician dressed in traditional Indian wear, posed for shutterbugs, proudly displaying her inked finger. Nusrat debuted in Bengali cinema with 'Shotru' alongside Jeet in 2011. Her second film, 'Khoka 420', was released in 2013. She has since appeared in films such as 'Khiladi', 'Sondhey Namaar Aagey', 'Jamai 420', 'Power', 'Love Express', 'Bolo Dugga Maiki', 'Asur', and 'SOS Kolkata'.

Bhojpuri actor and politician Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known by his screen name Nirahua, exercised his civic responsibility by casting his vote in Ghazipur. He arrived at the polling station with his mother, Chandrajyoti Yadav. After voting, the actor said: "The boy from this village has reached the largest Panchayat of India. One vote holds power in this democracy. I appeal to everyone to cast their vote; it's your right." Dinesh joined politics by becoming a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Lucknow in 2019.

Acclaimed actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty cast his vote at a polling station in Belgachia in Kolkata district. The actor was seen wearing a black kurta paired with a black cap and sunglasses.

He told ANI, "I am a BJP cadre, I have done my duty. I will talk about films from tomorrow because I have to feed my family too." Mithun, who is tagged as one of the greatest actors in Indian cinema, made his acting debut with the art house drama 'Mrigayaa' in 1976. He gained major stardom in 1982 with 'Disco Dancer' after which he was seen in films such as 'Agneepath', 'Taqdeer', 'Baat Ban Jaye', 'Gunahon Ka Devta', 'Shatranj', 'Sautela', 'Billa No. 786' to name a few. In Bollywood, he was last seen on the big screen in Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files'. The film is centred around the 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir.
