Actor Mouni Roy collaborated with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh for the first time for the song 'Love Ya'. The song that was released on Diljit's birthday earlier this month is a peppy romantic track. The song features Mouni and Diljit sharing an electrifying chemistry. "For me, more than anything it was to be in a song with Diljit. He is such a beautiful talent. He is so talented so just to collaborate with him was the icing on the cake," said Mouni Roy talking to mid-day.com after the release of the song. The song garnered over 15 million views in just five days.

Talking about her experience working on the song with Diljit Dosanjh, Mouni said, "Honestly, I always felt like he is an embodiment of peace. We had a very long shift as we shot this song in 18-19 hours. But it didn't feel like that."

"The thing I learned from Diljit is humility and how he was talking to every person on the set in such a low volume and calm manner. It is rather difficult to be calm after a point of time (owing to long shifts) but with him nothing, not an iota of irritation in him. In my head, I see him as peace, mayhem, and madness everything put together- love and light. I will always remember this one shoot day in my entire life because when somebody you look up to turns out to be a better human being than a superstar then that is a very fulfilling experience".

Mouni, too, is an admirer of Diljit's famous blogs that have earned viral status on Instagram. "So entertaining, so funny. I think the best part is his voiceovers that he gives.," she shared talking about them adding that she was sure that he might have been shooting the vlog in his van in between the music video shoot.

Mouni also shed some light on her process when it comes to approaching a music video with a plot. "I think this is my second or third with a narrative. I have usually done very dance-centric music videos. Well, a narrative is a narrative. What matters is how you tell a story. There is also a time constraint it is not like a show or movie where you have words and hours and screenplay. It totally depends on the choreographer and director of the song on how they want to narrate the story. As an actor, you emote it to the best of your abilities and that's what it is I feel. Following the vision of the director and choreographer is what it comes down to".
