A former Mckinsey consultant, the globetrotting glamorous young entrepreneur who was one of the first Indian women to build a USD 1 Billion company, with a whopping personal net worth of USD 85 Million, went from being one of the most successful female CEOs, to being embroiled in a salacious battle with her investors and business partner, to repeatedly saying she was being framed by some of her shareholders. She has been off the radar for the last 2 years, sources say, while building an ambitious financial services business in stealth.
Bose who hails from Mumbai, India, had long been the heartthrob of the media, her fans as well as investors and painstakingly built her company. She pioneered the e-commerce industry in South East Asia and was one of the first women tech CEOs in the region. From 2014 to 2022, her investors also seemed to love her, until there were sudden complaints against her for misdemeanours, which she has consistently denied. While some of her investors took control of her company in her absence, she posted on Instagram that she was not getting any information from her erstwhile company and started to help her colleagues from the outside. One source who was employed there said that there was a lot of chaos in her absence and she actively tried to help anyone whose job was affected by this situation.
Sources say that while she was often praised for her breakneck speed and execution, Bose was also criticised a lot for being a stickler for perfection and extremely arrogant. While criss crossing the globe, sources say she also rubbed many industry veterans the wrong way.
Bose has consistently complained about being targeted on social media falsely, she successfully won an Expedited Protection Order, when allegedly paid trolls attacked her online. She has successfully won an injunction in a defamation suit against a Venture Capitalist and is actively fighting several defamation suits to clear the air. Sources say, she is patient and focussed about winning in the long term and focus on her own personal growth while making sure that the actual culprits are brought to light. She has a litany of law firms in Singapore, India and US that are working for her to overturn the narrative for her.
Often criticised for her penchant for being sharp-tongued and unapologetically herself on social media, most people in the tech and finance industry are waiting with baited breath to see what she's up to next.
